• Enjoy a Stupendous Sunday Roast at The Plough Effingham

  

  A particularly striking example of everything TGTG (and hopefully you) love about Surrey's country dining potential. Achingly pretty surroundings, with traditional inn aesthetics and modern cuisine - the perfect place to spend a Sunday? It'd be gosh darn close, wouldn't it?
  
  The Plough at Effingham is where we're referring to peeps, and it fits the bill to a tee. Check out their May menu to see the aforementioned food; from first hand experience, we can tell you it is every bit as good as it sounds. Scroll down to Sunday if it's a roast you fancy - vegetarians may disagree, but anything containing the words 'goose fat roasted potatoes' is formidable, as the French would say.

• Golf Need Not be Too Serious - Ask TopGolf Surrey...

  

  Now we perhaps hold a slightly stereotypical view of golf - we think of it as all business and seriousness on the fairway. However, TopGolf Surrey, located just outside of Addlestone, have said 'phooey' to such nonsensical jibberish with their Retro Mondays - do read on:

• Baby Foot Impression and Mother's Coffee Morning; The White Hart in the Afternoon

  

  New mums, this one is for you. We're sure you're aware of how lovely your little bundle of joy is, and of how quickly they grow up. So with this in mind, let us point you in the direction of The Spike Heritage Centre in Guildford on Tuesday 22nd May.
  
  Courtesy of the brilliant Red Path and Crimson, you can get a 3D fine plaster image of your child's foot - so when they become angry teenagers, you can remember of what they once were. You get free coffee with this event too, too.
  
  It takes place from 9.30am and runs until noon. So that gives you time to go and enjoy some lunch - might we recommend some of you taking the short drive to The White Hart (pictured), which do exquisite country dining - if you bring the little one, you can even feed the ducks on the other side of the green. • Speed Demons: Do Some Go-Karting at Team Sport Camberley

  Zip on down to the awesome karting track at Camberley for a session of fast-paced, hair raising fun with the guys from TeamSport.

• Opera Fans, Become Excited: Blake are at Epsom Playhouse

  

  Pretty big coup at the Epsom Playhouse, people, with superstar vocalists Blake taking their handsome, talented selves to the stage on Thursday 24th May. Just to give you an idea of how massive this quartet are, here's what the Playhouse say:
  
  "Having performed over 150 concerts around the world in the last 12 months Blake are one of the most successful live touring groups of the past few years. As well as completing over 50 shows as part of their 'An Evening With Blake' tour, Blake have continued to perform their magnificent repertoire at prestigious venues around the country.
  
  Blake were honoured to perform at both Lincoln Cathedral and Norwich Cathedral as part of the celebrations of the Royal British Legion's 90th Anniversary, whilst the summer saw them headline an evening concert at the elegant Henley Festival on the banks of the River Thames."
