Monday - Cream of The Crop at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham |
|
New Ashgate Gallery & Surrey Artists Open Studios are launching The Baines Surrey Artist of the Year Competition. Visitors to the Surrey Artists Open Studios in June were asked to vote for their favourite artist, and from these artists the 10 'cream of the crop' were chosen. The public, and a panel of selected expert judges, will vote again and the first Surrey Artist of the Year will be chosen. The winner will be awarded a prize of £2000 and a solo exhibition at the Gallery in May 2010. With 'the cream of the crop' exhibiting at New Ashgate Gallery from September 12th to October 3rd, now is the time to cast your vote.

Tuesday - Read a Book - Join the Farnham Maltings Book Club |
There really is nothing quite like a good book, especially as the dark nights start to draw in, however it is often hard to find the time to even start a new book. We have the solution or rather the Farnham Malting book club do. They are a friendly group who meet on the third Tuesday of the month, normally in the Riverside Bar. Each event is very informal and lasts about an hour, with a new book discussed each month following a suggestion from the group. You do not need to have read this month's book to attend and there is no membership fee.....well go on then what are you waiting for?! You can contact Gerald Turner for further information on Gerald.turner@ntlworld.com or visit the Farnham Maltings page

What more is there to say about one of the best loved radio shows of all time? Well for starters this production includes material that would have been broadcast in the original radio series. With its mix of innuendo, camp caricature and word play we highly recommend this for some mid week entertainment. For further details and to book tickets visit the Yvonne Arnaud.
