Thursday - Farmers City Market |
Well ahead of the trend, Camberley is now home to only the second Farmers City Market in the country! "Farmers' City Market combines the best of farmers markets with the convenience of supermarkets. It is a new retail concept that harnesses the demand for ethical, quality products, direct from the source; retailed indoor, 7 days a week, 363 days a year, with easy parking and a superb restaurant - where all the ingredients are sourced from the store" (Farmers City Market). Selling fresh fruit, salad and vegetables, farm of origin dairy, free range rare breed meat and poultry, fish and seafood, artisanal bread, a wide range of British and European cheeses, wine, beer and cider and a wide range of grocery items. Also offering a selection of deli items - all cooked on site. With all produce coming directly from responsible farmers / growers / producers, we would like a Farmers City Market in every Surrey town!

Friday - After Work Drinks |
|
On Friday head to Bed Bar in Woking for a well deserved post work drink! Opening at 17.00, Bed Bar's ever popular cocktails are half price between 17.00 & 22.00. From May they will also be holding Live Sessions with the hottest local bands playing from 19.30. So arrive at 17.00 and by 18.00 work will be a distant memory!

Saturday - Lazy Days |
So it's the Bank Holiday weekend and lazy days are what you want. So we suggest that you start with a long and suitably lazy lunch at Shardana Guildford. With two courses & a drink available for a mere £11.90, the only hard decision will be what to eat (personally we are favouring the spaghetti with mussels, tomato sauce and chilli, followed by the Tiramisu, plus a glass of house wine!). With the weather man promising sunshine in time for the weekend, an afternoon in a suitably picturesque beer garden sounds like the perfect post lunch activity. So head over to The Weyside and relax - happy in the knowledge that you still have two days of freedom!

Sunday - The Epsom Show |
|
Taking place on Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th & Monday 25th May, this year marks the 17th Epsom Show. Entertainment will include the magnificent and increasingly rare Suffolk Punch horses, falconry & bird of prey displays and sheep shearing. Arts, craft and gift marquees as well as lifestyle and food hall stands will give you the chance to sample and buy unique products. Children's entertainer, bouncy castles and fairground rides will also be available. Plus a display by the Napoleonic Association of Great Britain! What more could you want from a Bank Holiday Weekend?! For more information, go online.
