What's Going On in Epsom and Ewell?

Hobbledown.

Open for the first time in July this year is Hobbledown, a unique adventure park centering around the mystical world of the Hobblers, who live in and around the many play areas and buildings in the park.

The park is on the old Horton Farm Park site off the A3 at Epsom, but there the similarities end. Hobbledown is a labyrinth of fun for kids with tunnels to explore, ropes to climb and the Hobbler's houses to muck about in. The park will also boast a zoo license which will mean there will be over 200 animals for everyone to enjoy. The whole set up is geared for children of all ages, so it is really a day out for all the family, not only that, the 50 acre site is designed to be all weather.

The owners aim is to "provide visitor with a fun-packed day out unlike anywhere in Surrey." and we at TGTG endorse this message.

Epsom and Ewell Information

The Good Time Guide is expanding throughout Epsom & the surrounding areas during 2009. Keep your eyes peeled for updates to this homepage!

Home to the famous Derby Festival, Epsom is well known for its racing pedigree, but it is not just the professionals who can take advantage of the ample tracks on the Epsom and Walton Downs. Having said that we think this town is far from a one-trick pony (sorry, couldn’t help ourselves).

Epsom offers a handsome harvest of alternative activities to the gee-gees. For those who prefer two wings to four legs why not join the model aircraft club? There are numerous other clubs and societies to get yourself involved with as well: beekeeping, astronomy, and stamp collecting to name but a few. Epsom Common is a superb place to head out for a stomp, and there are monthly organised walks should you fancy some fresh edifying air. The nearby Nonsuch Park offers more fine tramping ground; we recommend the inquisitive visit the Mansion house for histories of the park and palace.
