Seat yourself on comfy sofas next to the inglenook fireplace, sip on a pint of ale or glass of wine at the oak - beamed bar or indeed indulge in the wonderful menu whilst in the candle lit dining room, The Wheatsheaf really does provide you with the ideal surroundings for special occasions or for you just to simply get away from it all.
The menu is composed of some classic and truly mouth - watering dishes that comprise of meat, fish and vegetarian options. Potted smoked mackerel, prawns and crab served with horseradish cream to start with? Yes please. Traditional roasts are served on Sundays and a posh buffet of Sausage and Mash is provided on Monday. Moreover, throughout the Summer months is the al fresco dining offer - 2 courses and a glass of proseco is just £12.50 per person on Monday to Friday lunch and Tuesday to Thursday dinner.
