Overview

Nestled at the bottom of Woodbridge Hill The Wooden Bridge is a pub shrouded in musical and local history, playing host, once upon a time, to the now meteoric likes of The Rolling Stones and the owner of a gently weeping guitar, Mr Eric Clapton. Serving traditional pub fayre at reasonable prices, and of course providing you with all your favourite tipples, this large and spacious pub just outside the town centre is well worth visiting. The likelihood is you will find something other than just eating and drinking to occupy your time.

Keeping with its musical tradition, live music from local and not so local bands is on offer on the first Saturday of every month. The karaoke nights are every Thursday from 9pm until midnight should you wish to flex the old vocal chords.

Quiz night is every Sunday at 7pm, entry is just £1 winners get a free meal for the team! Giant board games, 4 pool tables and darts are all available as well, and all major sporting events will be shown on 5 plasma screens and a big screen. All in all, it is hard to imagine twiddling thumbs at the Wooden Bridge!
