Established over 15 years ago, Backline has long been a leading figure in live music throughout Surrey and the south east. Starting life as a rehearsal studio, and created by Bad Manners drummer Brian Tuit, there was always a vision of fulfilling the potential Backline possessed.
The vision is now a reality. Dubbed by local radio stations as "the most technologically advanced venue in Guildford, with the most forward thinking policy towards music" Backline Live has its sights firmly set on the future. Backline consists of a 300 capacity venue, bars on two separate floors, a state of the art sound and lighting system, a diverse range of cocktails with an equally diverse policy towards live music. With all of this is in place, Backline Live sets its sights not only on raising the standard of live music in the south east, but creating the next level in atmosphere and service. Opening on the 21st June, serving until 2.30am, 7 days a week, boasting acts that range from metal to dubstep, hip hop to acoustic, Backline is sure to make an impact.
With strong links to ACM, and hosting the prestigious acoustic tent at this years Guilfest, 2010 is set to be a great year for Backline.
